Understanding how diabetes can impact your life is vital to your overall health and well-being. The Diabetes Specialized Care Center at The Medicine Shoppe® Pharmacy can help you discover new ways to monitor and manage your care so you can feel your best.

Our pharmacist and staff take diabetes-specific courses so we can give you up-to-date information and practical tips for everyday living. We also offer free informational sessions at our pharmacy and throughout the community that cover such important topics as blood glucose testing, medication myths, and healthy eating.

An ongoing condition requires ongoing conversation. Talk to us about your diabetes questions, concerns, and victories at the Diabetes Specialized Care Center.

Diabetes Education Classes

Come to our FREE monthly education classes. Every month we hold a meeting/class for community members and patients to attend FREE of charge. You'll learn more about how to manage your diabetes and also how to be a supportive family member, friend or caretaker to those living with diabetes.

Accredited through the American Association of Diabetes Educators, we are now able to provide Diabetes Self Management Education (DSME) for those living with diabetes. For patients on Medicare and living with diabetes, you are most likely eligible for DSME. We have the resources to bill Medicare and provide the service all in one place! If you are interested, please contact us today!

Patients with commercial insurance, or who are self-pay patients, we also offer these classes. Sessions can range from 30 minutes to 1 1/2 hours depending on group size and curriculum. Prices for individual sessions are $60-75 and group sessions (2 or more attendees) are $20-30.
